Welcome to the LVFD Blog

This is the Blog of the Ladonia Volunteer Fire Dept. in Ladonia Texas. This blog aims to become the Voice of the inner workings of the Ladonia Fire Fighter and the Department.

Ladonia VFD Operates a 5000 Gallon Tanker given to us by the Texas Forest Service. This is known as Tanker-12. We operate a American Le France Engine known as E-1 or "Crandall" As it was donated to use by the Crandall Texas Fire Department. We own a OLD ? (Not sure the make and model) Fire Engine "E-820" and a Dodge 1 ton Brush truck "Brush-1" with a 450 Gallon tank.

The Members of Ladonia VFD meet twice a month at 7:00pm (The first and third Tuesday) to discuss new and old business, vote in new members and train. If you wish to Join us, come by the FD or City hall and fill out an application. We'll take a vote and you will probably get on the VFD that night.

LVFD Is often open during the day and members will stand-by the station working on Fire department projects and equipment waiting for a run. We run a lot of Medical Calls and in the heat of the summer grass fire calls. We are capable of responding to a Structure fire with Mutual Aid help from Honey Grove, Pecan Gap, Wolf City, Dodd City and Bailey. Currently Ladonia's EMS service is provided by Bonham Fire/Rescue.

We invite you to become a follower of this blog. - Thanks for visiting Ladonia VFD on Blogger!
